End User License Agreement

Effective date: July 16, 2026

The short version: Use Nudge on your own Macs, don't redistribute or resell it, and understand it's provided as-is. A Pro license covers 2 Macs for your personal use. The 7-day trial is free and full-featured.

This agreement is between you and Big Decibel ("we", "us") and governs your use of the Nudge macOS application downloaded from our website. If you obtained Nudge from the Mac App Store, Apple's standard licensed-application terms apply to that copy instead.

1. License grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Nudge on Macs you own or control. The free tier and the 7-day trial may be used on any number of your Macs. A Nudge Pro license key activates Pro features on up to 2 Macs at a time; you can deactivate a Mac in Settings to free a seat.

2. What you may not do

Redistribute, sell, rent, or sublicense Nudge or your license key.
Circumvent, disable, or tamper with license validation or trial limits.
Reverse engineer the app except where law expressly permits it.

3. Trial and license keys

Every download starts a one-time 7-day trial with all Pro features. When it ends, Nudge keeps working with the free features. License keys are delivered by email after purchase; keep yours private. Yearly licenses stop unlocking Pro features if the subscription lapses. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

4. Updates

Nudge checks our update feed (Sparkle) and offers signed updates. You can disable automatic checking in Settings. We may change or discontinue features in any update.

5. Privacy

Nudge reads your calendar locally on your Mac and sends us nothing. License activation contacts our merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy) to verify your key. Details are in the Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.

6. Disclaimer of warranty

Nudge is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that reminders will fire in every circumstance — macOS can defer or suppress apps in ways outside our control — and you should not rely on Nudge as your only safeguard for critical appointments.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Nudge (including a missed meeting). Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach it. Upon termination you must stop using Pro features; sections 6–7 survive termination.

9. General

This agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Big Decibel is organized, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Questions: support@bigdecibel.com.
